Intermediate Photography Course Near Dunoon In Beautiful Argyll

£250.00£600.00

Whilst my intermediate photography courses can be adapted to meet the needs of the participants we will cover a number of fundamental principles, including:

  • Taking full creative manual control
  • Using the exposure triangle for creative effect
  • A thorough understanding of the use of depth of field as an artistic tool
  • Being more deliberate and intentional in your photography
  • Understanding a range of compositional techniques
  • Focus on lighting, both natural and flash
  • Making best use of the golden and blue hours
  • Recognise photography as an art form and begin to understand what motivates you as a photographer

Finally, you will leave the course with a photography course action plan for your ongoing development.  You will have the opportunity to receive detailed feedback on this project.

You do not need an expensive camera for this course but you must have a camera that can be set to manual (M) mode.  A tripod is recommended and at least one speed light is useful, though not essential.  If you are considering buying a camera my article on the best camera for new photographers will give you plenty of options to consider.

Description

My one-day intermediate photography course is aimed at those who have a basic level of proficiency with their camera and who understand their camera aperture and shutter priority modes.  To get the most from this photography workshop you should have a good understanding of the principles I teach in my beginner’s photography course.

The course is delivered by a Master’s Degree Educated professional photographer with over 10-years of experience and with over 20 years of experience as an educator.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Please note that children under 18-years-old are very welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Participants should bring their cameras and any lenses they may own.  A tripod is an advantage but not required, do not buy one for this course.

The course fee includes all tuition, tea, coffee, cold drinks, snacks, and a packed lunch.

The intermediate photography course can be combined with the beginner’s course with a great discount of 20% a saving of ÂŁ100.

If you get a small group of 3 – 4 people together the price per head is heavily discounted at £600 for the day representing a 20% or 40% discount per head.  Book both the beginner and intermediate courses as a group of four and you will receive a 20% discount taking the cost to just £240 per head for two full days of training at less than half the cost of booking separately.  I am convinced that you won’t find better value anywhere.

Should you want to take the combined beginners and intermediate photography course over a weekend I can provide accommodation at ÂŁ60 per head including a full Scottish breakfast, dinner, and a light lunch.
